Submissions

  • Any unsolicited work or queries should be sent within the body of an email to the appropriate email address:

Note: LOST will not read emailed attachments unless they have been requested following an initial query.

  • Please review our sections and include the appropriate descriptive word in your submission or query's subject heading, if applicable: "FICTION," "NONFICTION," "DEPARTMENTS," "PERSON," "PLACE," "THING," or "ART."

  • If LOST has not responded within 4 weeks, you're welcome to send a brief query.

  • While LOST does not currently pay its contributors, it provides unique publicity through the site and its events. While LOST reserves the right to post all work it publishes online in its archives, the contributor maintains the work's copyright and may subsequently offer the work to any publication. (LOST requests the courtesy that any piece published first in LOST include the line "First published in LOST Magazine at www.lostmag.com" with its second publication.).
